Children and Youth

Children are an important part of our church family.

We include and involve children as much as possible and employ a paid Children's and Youth Worker.

We long for every child to discover for themselves that they are loved and accepted by God.

Sunday Club

For three Sundays a month there are children’s activities during the 9.30am Sunday morning service at St Michael’s, though of course children are welcome to stay in the services too. We meet altogether in church to start with, then move over to the Parish Centre for our groups. Sunday Club is for children from Reception up to Year 6.

Messy Church

Messy Church takes place approximately every other month, at 3.00pm on Sunday afternoon at St Mark’s. There are lots of craft activities around a Christian theme, followed by some songs, a short Bible story and finally we share some food together.

Every Thursday in term time, 10 to 11.30am in St Michael’s church. Activities include play, story-time and crafts and refreshments for adults and children. This is a popular group so booking in is essential!

Friday Drop-in

On Friday afternoons, Years 7-11 are welcome to 'drop-in' to St Michael's Parish Centre between 3.20 and 5.00pm. Free snacks and drinks are available, games, and a safe space where young people can relax and hang out at the end of the busy school week.

Holiday Club

Each summer we run a Holiday Club over 3 mornings. Children from reception age to Year 6 are welcome. We always have games, crafts, Bible stories and some action songs. All based on a different theme each year.
