The Alpha Course:

Got questions about faith? Ask at Alpha. Alpha is a place to ask the big questions of life. Get together and watch a series of episodes that explore the basics of the Christian faith. Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, typically run over eleven weeks. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. We are running Alpha on Wednesday evenings starting on 11th May, and everyone is welcome. Please speak with Nigel or Amanda for more information.

Mothers' Union:

The MU will meet on Thursday 12th May at 2.30pm in the Parish Centre. The speaker will be Jenny Green who will be talking about Uganda and her time there with CMS.

Living Word:

An offshoot of the Keswick Convention, this is an interdenominational Bible teaching event. It will be taking place on Wed 18th and Thursday 19th May 10.30am – 12.00 noon and 7.30–9.00pm at St John’s Church London Road, Carlisle. The speaker is Andy Robinson (Pastor at Woodstock Road Baptist Church and director of Living Out).

Pudding Fest:

In celebration of the Queen's Jubilee, this will be a 'bring and share' event with a twist - it will be puddings only. Friday 3rd June at St Mark's. More details to follow. 

Ordination Service:

Amanda Quinn is to be ordained Priest on Sunday 26th June at 10.00am. The service will be at St Michael’s with lunch to follow at St Mark’s. It will be a great celebration of local ministry as Amanda takes the next step on her journey of faith.

Saturday Morning Coffee:

You are warmly invited to a coffee morning 10.00-11.30am every Saturday in the Parish Centre. Please try to bring your own mug - but don't worry if you forget!

Thursday Tots:

Thursday Tots takes place on Thursdays at 10am in St Michael's Church (term time only). Do come along to find a warm welcome; great stories, crafts and fun for pre-school children, and tea/coffee and biscuits for carers. (Donation of £1 per family)
