We believe God loves to hear his people pray, and we have had many experiences of our prayers being answered.
We are always happy to pray for anyone, and two people are always available to offer confidential prayer after every service. We also believe that God heals today and when it is appropriate and requested, will pray for physical healing. We have seen God answer these prayers a number of times recently.
A small number of church members and leaders meet on Tuesday mornings from 7am to 8am in the Parish Centre to pray for the church, the city of Carlisle and the needs of the world. Some always pray silently and some always pray out loud. We always start by listening and seeking the Holy Spirit so that we are collaborating with what God is already doing in our world. We finish by sharing a simple breakfast together. This meeting is open to anyone who would like to join us.
The Gathering is our monthly church prayer meeting, when we gather in St Michael's church on the first Saturday of each month from 11.00am to 12.00noon to pray together for the needs of our church, our city and our world.
All church members are encouraged to attend.
Please consult the online calendar to find out the next meeting.
Praying with Other Christians
We love to pray with Christians from other churches too and are committed to supporting joint church prayer initiatives for our city.
If you would like to speak in confidence to a member of our clergy team please email firstname.lastname@example.org or ring 07941 180926.
Please note that although we do not offer a counselling service, we would be more than happy to help you find appropriate sources of support elsewhere.
